Jaap has been a partner and senior advisor at STIPO since 2019. In 1997 he started at the Project Management Office of the municipality of Amsterdam and then worked for sixteen years as head of Bureau Broedplaatsen. He uses these experiences at STIPO for assignments such as Working in Neighborhoods in Rotterdam, where it concerns making more affordable workspaces available for SMEs. In his work at STIPO, he likes to link the planned city with the spontaneous city and he works together with creatives, city makers and entrepreneurs on a liveable city. Meanwhile, Jaap likes to do odd jobs at the STIPO office, to tinker with his Citroën DS, and if possible, he escapes for his house in France.
