Marta Popiołek lives in Warsaw, Poland. There she completed a bachelor’s degree in urban planning as well as a bachelor’s and master’s degree in statistical analysis. Nevertheless, she wanted to continue studying and decided to pursue the master’s degree in Urbanism Studies in Stockholm. Marta started as an intern at STIPO in 2020, but hasn’t left since. Now she is involved in setting up STIPO International, which aims to bring STIPO’s ideas and practices to other countries. She also works on managing the Placemaking Europe network, doing various projects there, developing possible new manuals and exploring new tools for tactical urbanism.
