Marcial is an architect and urban planner engaged in participatory urban design processes and placemaking projects in Lima, Peru; exploring the modes of use of the city in informal settlements to facilitate people-centered processes of design with neighborhood and grassroot organizations, to provide lively and safe public spaces. Also interested in local economic development and cultural promotion, he has also participated in projects of heritage renovation in the Historical Center of Lima, contributing to the revitalization of the historical neighborhood through new economic and social uses in vacant buildings.
