The municipality of Amsterdam is committed to the development of a “Creative Production District” for the Hamerkwartier in the North of Amsterdam. The former industrial area, in the middle of the Meeuwenlaan, the Vogelbuurt and the IJ, has become a place with a lot of small-scale craft activity in the past year. How do you ensure that the small-scale activity is preserved amid a lot of new housing construction to be added? For example, should an operating company or a plinth BV be established? We will explore it with the developers and the already established entrepreneurs.
